This prototype is a pre-release build of the NES version of Spy Hunter. It should be kept separate from the standard Sunsoft retail release because prototype cartridges may use development boards, EPROM chips, handwritten labels, or early game code from before final manufacturing. The retail NES version was published by Sunsoft and based on Bally Midway’s arcade game, with Sunsoft handling the NES port.
