Sid Meier's Pirates! is a 1987 Commodore 64 video game developed by Sid Meier and released by MicroProse. It was the first game to have the name "Sid Meier" in its title, as part of MicroProse's aim to attract fans of Meier's previous titles, the majority of which were combat vehicle simulation computer games.
