Space Invaders – Player’s Choice

Space Invaders – Player’s Choice is the later North American reissue of Nintendo’s Game Boy release of Taito’s landmark arcade shooter. This 1996 variant is distinguished by its Player’s Choice packaging and updated product code, making it a separate collectible printing from the original 1994 release. The game preserves the classic fixed-shooter formula while adding presentation options and two-player support derived from the 1994 Space Invaders DX version. For Game Boy collectors, the Player’s Choice release is notable as one of only 31 U.S. titles issued under Nintendo’s budget re-release program and is identifiable by product code DMG-SP-USA-2.
